Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for a building permit officer with a focus on supervision, who, together with an engaged and professional team, will work for a good built environment in Uddevalla municipality.
The position of building permit officer involves processing building permits and other matters under the Planning and Building Act (PBL) in a service-oriented, legally secure, and prompt manner. In your handling, you will primarily work with supervision according to PBL, but also manage permits and notifications. Many decisions are made by delegation, but you will also be the presenter for the Community Building Committee. The work involves many contacts with the public and businesses to provide advice and information regarding construction based on current legislation. We offer you a stimulating and developing job with great personal responsibility and many contacts within and outside the organization.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in urban planning, law, building permit processing, construction technology, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position, as well as work experience in the field. We expect you to have good knowledge of planning and building legislation. You can express yourself well in Swedish and interact with others in various contexts, adapting to the situation, purpose, and recipient. You possess knowledge of detailed and comprehensive plans as well as good knowledge of PBL, PBF (Planning and Building Ordinance), and BBR (National Board of Housing, Building and Planning regulations). Since the processing is digital, an understanding and interest in fully utilizing digital systems is required. A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement as the position involves inspections of existing and new buildings throughout the municipality.

The position is a fixed-term employment for 6 months.
